Connecting an electronic gage to SPC Express using a USB Port is easy.   This type of connection can allow for a single gage (or two) to be connected without any bulky or power consuming equipment.   It is ideal for notebook computers where portability is an issue.

1. SPC Express software
2. Electronic Gage
3. Gage Cable (It must have a "send button" in the cable if your gage does not have one)
4. Single Gage interface, such as FP-M29 from Midwest Flexsystems
5. Serial to USB Adapter cable
6. Software driver to allow USB port to look like a COM3/COM4 port
